Holiday Gift Gallery
When: November 15 - December 24, recurring weekly Tuesday-Saturday. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Art Barn is closed Sunday and Monday.
Where: Art Barn School of Art, 695 North 400 East, Valparaiso, IN
For the season, Art Barn's gallery will overflow with small items perfect for holiday giving. Visitors will find works of fine art and fine craft at price points designed for every budget. Purchases support local artists as well as art educational programs in the community!
This curated exhibit, now in its 6th year, features fine crafts including ceramics, woodworking, fiber arts and jewelry as well as small works including drawing, prints, paintings, mixed media, and photography.

“A Christmas Story” Comes Home

Where: Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive, Hammond, IN
The Indiana Welcome Center features six animated displays depicting scenes from the holiday classic "A Christmas Story." The displays were first showcased in 2003 at Macy's in New York City. The scenes include Higbee’s Department Store, A Hero’s Dream, Flick’s Tongue & the Triple Dog Dare, It’s a Major Award, Santa’s Mountain at Higbee’s, The Bumpus Hounds, and The Parker Living Room. You can also have your picture taken with Santa and stop in the gift shop for "A Christmas Story" merchandise including your very own leg lamp souvenir!

Holiday Soup Kitchen

What: Holiday Soup Kitchen – Celebrate the season of giving by helping to serve a Tamale Christmas Lunch for our community! Volunteers are needed to bring food, prepare meals, serve, and create a warm holiday experience. Approximately 150-170 meals will be served.
