Sponsored: Meet the Newly Re-opened Quaker Steak Portage

Local fave, Quaker Steak & Lube has been revived thanks to an ownership change and extensive remodeling. The newly re-opened Quaker Steak flung upon its doors in October in hopes of recapturing some love from the 219.

Classic comfort fare is served up amongst vintage car and motorcycle memorabilia, think wings, burgers, pizza, and the like. There’s a a variety of hand-crafted teas, lemonades and cocktails, plus wines and craft beers.

We tried the Dirty Shirley, pictured, and of course, a Moscow Mule. If you follow us on Instagram you know that we believe most dishes pair well with Moscow Mules. ;-)

The barbecue pork topped tater tots were delicious; the pork was tender and flavorful.

Well, helllllooo Baby Back Rib Combo. We opted for a 1/2 rack of ribs paired with bone-in wings. They were sticky, spicy yumminess.

Recovering from Friday night gets easier at Quaker Steak thanks to the HANGOVER BURGER, pictured below.

This steak burger is generously topped with cheddar cheese, smoky bacon and a perfectly fried egg, plus lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle chips.

We finished off our meal with a classic warm chocolate chip cookie in a cast iron skillet.
